19th December 2005 - Beginning of Week 7

It's the week before christmas, and we're approaching the nominal half-way mark.
The bowl platform is being constructed, and the steel reinforcing rods are being put in. As work progresses at the bowl end, it is begining in the rest of the park. The concrete wall that will form the bottom of the main bank is built along half the length of the park, and the blockwork for the funbox is being built.

  A few views of the bowl to start with. The circular concrete flat bottoms have been cast in place, and the platform is being built. Much of the work is around the sides where a reinforced concrete retaining wall is being put up.

  The funbox is being started this week. The blockwork skeleton has just been started here, so you can get an idea of the height it will be. You can see the new concrete wall which has been built along the bottom of the flatbank.
