10th March 2006 - End of Week 18
Not much to see this week, largely because it was below freezing and snowing at the start of the week, then hooning it down with wintry rain for the rest of it. So work's been a little slow, not much anyone can do about that. Concrete wont set well if it's freezing! Some concreting has been finished off, mainly the floor and most of the bigger pyramid. The mini ramps are finished and the funbox virtually so. The big 3m catch fence has been put in around the bowl, to prevent board loss out of the park. Work is continuing on the plaza end, mainly still building up the ground level to the required height. No pics 'cos it was raining too hard and Brian wanted to go home!

The mini ramps, now finished and looking good. Standing on the funbox, looking towards the centre of the two ramps. The larger (5 foot) one is on the left, the right hand one is 4 foot.
-
The 4 foot mini, with extension, taken from the centre platform between the two ramps. The extension faces the spine, to give a bit of extra speed. Behind the wall is the small half-pyramid.

and the 5 foot mini with elevator. In the background is the bowl, and the edge of the flat bank is to the left. The new safety rails and catch fencing are visible behind the bowl.

Front and back of the funbox. The ledge is 12 inches high on one side, 9 inches on the other, and the flatbar is now in place.
